Perch Lake Lumber CO. #3

Layout Rebuild

Perch Lake Lumber Company goes to 4' 8.5" HO track

Adding an edge to the HOn3 roadbed

Pinned alongside the HOn3 roadbed is the strip removed when I cut the roadbed from HO to narrow gauge on my radial arm saw. The strips are from straight track as the curved roadbed cut on the notched side and produced 1" pieces of wood.

I installed the strips removed from the HO roadbed to the HOn3 to bring it up to the HO roadbed. Below you can see the strip attached to the outside of the curve on the large loop.

More images of new turnout blocks and additional strips of roadbed glued to the foam for HO track.

As the track plan changed for the HO layout new turnouts and additional HO roadbed was added.

The result was HO track laid on roadbed from the HOn3 layout along with new turnout blocks and strips of roadbed to widen the narrow gauge to standard gauge roadbed for HO flex track.

The roadbed allowed for normal operations of HO equipment.
